30 days for free
The 113th edition of the Tour de France delivers everything cycling fans have been waiting for: for the first time since 1971, the Tour opens with a team time trial, and the Grand Départ takes place in Barcelona — the third time overall the race has started in Spain, but the very first time in the Catalan capital. 23 teams and 184 riders will battle across 3,333 kilometres and more than 54,450 metres of climbing for the coveted Yellow Jersey.
Defending champion Tadej Pogačar goes in as the favourite. Jonas Vingegaard, Remco Evenepoel, and Florian Lipowitz — the German star who finished third at the 2025 Tour — are his closest challengers. Whoever survives the Pyrenees, the Massif Central, the Vosges, the Jura, and ultimately the Alpine wall of Alpe d'Huez will have the best chance of standing on the podium in Paris.
ARD and Eurosport broadcast the Tour de France 2026 live every day. ARD covers all stages from 4 to 26 July across all platforms — on Das Erste, the ARD Mediathek, and radio. Eurosport 1 provides its signature full-race broadcast with expert commentary. With Zattoo Ultimate, you can stream both channels in Full HD — at home or on the go, on your smartphone, tablet, smart TV, or laptop.
30 days for freeGrand Départ: Barcelona, Spain — the Tour opens with a team time trial (19.7 km), finishing at the Olympic Stadium on Montjuïc hill. It is the third Grand Départ in Spain (after San Sebastián 1992 and Bilbao 2023) — and the first ever in Barcelona.
Three stages on Spanish soil: Stages 1 and 2 take place entirely in Spain. Stage 3 starts in Granollers and crosses the Pyrenees into France mid-race, finishing in Les Angles.
Alpe d'Huez — twice: The Tour returns to the legendary climb for the first time since 2022 — and does so twice: both Stage 19 and Stage 20 finish on Alpe d'Huez.
Tour debut: Plateau de Solaison as a summit finish (Stage 15) — a first for this climb.
Montmartre finale: Stage 21 passes through Paris via Montmartre before the classic sprint finish on the Champs-Élysées.
Just one individual time trial: 26 km along the shore of Lake Geneva (Stage 16).
Mountain ranges: Pyrenees, Massif Central, Vosges, Jura, Alps.
5 summit finishes, including 2× Alpe d'Huez.
