ZATTOO launches 4K / UHD on Apple TV for Swiss telco Salt - LIVE on ANGA COM at the ZATTOO booth, Hall 8 / R9.

Zurich (12/06/2018) ZATTOO is showcasing 4K / UHD at ANGA COM, beginning today in Cologne, at its own booth in Hall 8 / R9. The Swiss telecommunications provider Salt will be the first B2B customer to offer 4K / UHD on the Apple TV 4K Box.

Leading telecommunications provider Salt launched its own landline network product in 2018, and introduced a disruptive TV solution in Switzerland with Apple and ZATTOO. The TV product’s key component is the Apple TV 4K Box, which is being used with operator login for the first time outside the USA.

Andreas Schoenenberger, Salt's Chief Executive Officer, is convinced: “we have introduced a pioneering TV solution under our own brand, which we will continue to develop with our partner ZATTOO. The launch of 4K / UHD is an important step in this ongoing development.”
Consumer streaming devices such as Apple TV but also Fire TV are playing an increasingly important role for network operators. For example, the leading German network operator 1&1 Telecom AG - also a client of ZATTOO - fully supported Apple TV and Amazon Fire TV along with the “classic” set-top box right from the start with its recently-launched TV service. The background: end customers are wanting to watch TV on these kinds of devices more and more - either as a second device or as the main device. This is the case, for example, for Salt in Switzerland.
