To SupportThe summer games will take place this year from July 23 to August 8 in Tokyo, Japan. During these two weeks 339 events will be held in 51 disciplines across 33 sports. In addition to the classics such as athletics, swimming and cycling, there will also be 5 new sports this year: karate, sport climbing, baseball/softball, skateboarding and surfing.
Due to the time difference, Japan is 7 hours ahead of Central Europe. So, if the events begin in the morning in Tokyo, here they will begin during the night and continue on until the afternoon.
In Switzerland, the events will be broadcast on SRF and Eurosport 1 as well as ARD and ZDF, in each case starting at midnight and ending around 5 pm.
