BBC Alba is a Scottish Gaelic language digital television channel which is broadcast by the BBC throughout the United Kingdom. Programming includes news, Scottish sport, music, factual, children’s and entertainment programmes. BBC ALBA programmes are subtitled in English or have live captions so that Gaels and non-Gaelic speakers can enjoy the riches that the channel has to offer. The only exception to this are Children's programmes which are transmitted in Gaelic with no subtitles. BBC Alba is broadcast on most days between 5pm and 12am.
