Zattoo now with BBC1, BBC2 and ITV 1

The last thing you feel like doing on Monday morning is going to work. Just as you begin summing up the energy for a new working week, you step out the shower and the phone rings. …*sigh*. There you are standing in your birthday suit, dripping water on the carpet while your boss tells you what he thinks of your work last week.
If you’re anything like me, just before heading out, you sit down to a strong cup of coffee and power up your laptop to see what the day has in store for you. While cursing at your emails, you flick on Zattoo and those Monday morning blues soon disappear… Breakfast on the table and now breakfast TV on your PC! It’s just a case of choosing between Bill Turnbull and Fiona Phillips. Ooh the decisions…
So there you have it. Now our friends in the UK can Zattoo BBC1, BBC2, ITV1, Channel 4, Five and lots of other fantastic channels. We’ve got all your favourite films, news, sports, drama, game shows – right there where you are.

Was wondering, would there be a possibility to be adding other Freeview channels to UK Zattoo? Some music channels would be a really great addition.
Thanks for all the hard work! Zattoo is a sure fire 10/10. Have been watching allt he major channels by putting the player on the TV (using a PC -> AV cable) and running it so smoothly with very little disruption. Thanks!

I'm using the Mac version too. If you switch to Zattoo, then click View from the menu bar, then select Manage Channels, you should be able to "tick" the Scottish version of BBC One and BBC Two.

Swiss law allows to put all channels on cable you can get with a normal dish.
Since Astra 2D is available with a 60cm dish here, cable companies carry British channels.
BBC has sued a cable operator – but lost.

Some channels broadcast 4:3 others 16:9. If you're seeing all of them in 4:3, it could be that you've locked the window size. Click on view and see if 'Lock Window Size' is ticked. I usually just keep 'Lock Aspect Ratio' ticked so that the window automatically resizes for whatever channel I'm watching.
If this doesn't help, the best thing to do is to
send a request for support through the 'Send Feedback' under the File menu.

Is there any chance you will have a Poland allowed soon, or am I being forced (I'm sorry, but it is irresistible) to play with proxies and such?
Long live Zatoo, peace and love, and even some commerce too (I'd gladly pay some 5-10 euros monthly for this). Just make it work! :-)

Zattoo is broadcasting Free TV-Channels as Free TV! So NO Fees will have to be paid to get these channels.
Zattoo will also broadcast some PayTV-Channels in the future for that you have to pay a fee, before you can get them.
The FreeTV-Channels are independent from the PayTV-Channels, so you will also get the FreeTV-Channels for free in the future!

While officially Apple do not provide a way to add functionality to Front Row, Alan Quartermain worked out how to do it (or at least did so for the Apple TV device which uses practically the same software along with Mac OS X). It is actually easier doing this for Front Row as installing add-ons is just copying a file and add-ons can access other Mac OS X software.
As Front Row (and Apple TV) unlike Microsoft Media Center do not have built-in support for live TV there is opening for such a solution.

I admit to being naughty and using a detour in order to watch those here in Germany, but hey, no other way :-(
I'm not going to rant about this silly geo-targetting. Zattoo is great and it's certainly not YOUR fault that everybody can't watch the free view chanels they like, from any country. I find it very very unfair that all the expats can't watch their home chanels (unless they have the appropriate sat dish, which isn't always possible, sadly enough).
Unfortunately iTV blocks many good shows on their website player, so if you ever get the iTV 2-4 to join, you will made at least ONE viewer extremely happy :-D
Hope springs eternal, and maybe one of these days "global television" will be available without having to have lorry-sized sat dishes on one's front lawn....
