International: Zattoo launches ABC News Now channel across Europe

Zurich, 5 November, 2007.- Zattoo, the American-Swiss IP TV start-up, has entered an agreement with ABC News to distribute the ABC News Now channel on broadband across Europe. ABC News Now is a 24-hour news and information network currently available to nearly 34 million users across cable, broadband, and mobile. With the addition of ABC News Now to the European channel lineup Zattoo proves once again that it can quickly and cost-effectively bring new and existing TV channels to a growing user base across Europe. Currently, over one million people in Switzerland, Germany, Spain, Denmark, and Belgium are using Zattoo to watch TV on their computers. Launches in further countries are planned in the next few months.

ABC News Now delivers live breaking news, headlines every half-hour, original programming featuring the latest from Washington to London to Hollywood, and highlights from ABC News shows. ABC News Now also offers video-on-demand programming from all ABC News broadcasts including “World News with Charles Gibson,” “Good Morning America,” “Nightline,” “20/20,” and “Primetime.”
